BMI Healthy Weight Range
For adults, a BMI from 18.5 to 24.9 is commonly treated as the healthy range. You can rearrange the BMI formula to estimate the corresponding weight range for a given height.
Formula
weight in kg = BMI * height in meters squared. For a healthy range, calculate the weight at BMI 18.5 and BMI 24.9.
Example
For a height of 1.75 m, the estimated adult healthy weight range is about 56.7 kg to 76.3 kg. BMI is a screening measure, not a diagnosis.
