This page gives Calcroutine a repeatable process for title and meta description testing after pages begin collecting impressions in Google Search Console.
Testing workflow
- Export pages and queries with impressions, clicks, CTR, and average position.
- Prioritize pages ranking in positions 3 to 15 with meaningful impressions and below-expected CTR.
- Rewrite one element at a time: usually the title first, then the description.
- Wait at least 14 to 28 days before judging a test unless impressions are very low.
- Keep the winning title or description and record the reason it performed better.
