Daily Sales Target Calculator

Formula

Daily Sales Target = Monthly Target ÷ Selling Days

A monthly target of 30,000 across 25 selling days requires 1,200 in sales per day.

Divide the monthly sales target by the number of selling days. For example, 30,000 divided by 25 days equals a daily target of 1,200.

Use it to set daily store, sales-team, service-business, ecommerce, or campaign targets from a monthly revenue goal.

Use selling days rather than every calendar day, update the target when the month is partly complete, and remember that revenue targets are not the same as profit targets.

Examples

25 selling days

Monthly target: 30,000. Selling days: 25.

Daily target: 1,200

20 selling days

Monthly target: 20,000. Selling days: 20.

Daily target: 1,000

30 selling days

Monthly target: 45,000. Selling days: 30.

Daily target: 1,500

How to turn a monthly sales goal into a daily target

Daily Sales Target = Monthly Sales Target ÷ Selling Days. Count only the days on which you realistically expect to generate sales.

If the month is already underway, calculate the remaining revenue target and divide it by the remaining selling days. That gives a more useful catch-up target.
